Becoming a Woman that Forgives...

Is not easy work. It is often requires the unearthing of painful experiences and times past that you'd much rather forget. This is the beginning of the end of unprocessed offense; it is the moment you serve unforgiveness an eviction notice. It will not likely take it well...I mean the root of offense is most likely comfortable and settled in its place. To make the decision to remove it and replace it with understanding and acceptance means that there is no longer any room for mixed fruit.

Recently I was unable to sleep through the night awakened by the idea that the world is waiting for the sons and daughters of God to rise up and be the solution to many of the problems, issues, and unrest we see in the world today. But there is a problem, they can't see us..because they are looking for the fruit of our lives. The fruit of abundant life, the fruit of the spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, most importantly the fruit of what it means to love like Christ.

This fruit must be pure, not mixed with anything of our own; Not our opinions, our thoughts, our frustrations, our limitations, our inhabitations, our anger, or our way over God's way. It must consist of only what God wants for us to demonstrate to others. This really means that the BIG picture is not really about us, instead is all about moving forward with his agenda and purpose for our lives and humanity as a whole. Will you rise and take your place in being a part of the answer that so many people need to see and experience? I hope your answer is a resounding "YES".

Sometimes it starts with offering the gift of forgiveness, before a person deserves it, before they ask for it, before they even offend...can you grow in love in such a way that you can offer Forgiveness Daily? This is when you know, that you have a become a woman who forgives.
