A time to work and a time to rest

Good Morning Women of Virtue,

I was just thinking about knowing when and how to balance this time thing again. I am a "do-er" by nature. I like the satisfaction of getting things done. I am also a early riser, so sometimes, admittedly, it is hard for me to sleep in or have a more "chill" start to my morning. I'm more like-

  • Devotion/ Jesus- check

  • Bite to eat and Coffee- check

  • Kids up and dressed- check

  • Feed the Dog- check

  • Set the Alarm and GO!!!- check

"Okay, and do this, and this, and this on the way to that." That's just how my mind thinks.

But then there should also be times when I sit on the couch, watching a movie, with my favorite blanket, homemade pizza, with the hubby. It is hard to give myself permission to sit still- because I'm thinking of all the other 1,000 things I could be doing with that time (to catch up or get ahead).

My Ah Ha: God is given us all enough grace for the day- do accomplish tasks as well as rest. When you feel you are nearing the end of that grace- don't fret or be irritated (snapping off on your kids)- just give yourself permission to do those unfinished things tomorrow- in love and with a fresh grace for that day.

This is 42!
