A Whole Heart

At the time we are born, most of us get here with 10 fingers, 10 toes, normal extremities and functional organs. The first thing a labor and delivery nurse will check is the rhythm of the heart and the sound of the lungs.

If either of these are abnormal, the nurse will report out to the rest of the team and they will then take the next necessary steps to give aid to the child as well as inform the parent of their options.

But for majority of cases- the lungs are breathing well, and the heart is beating fine. It is complete in its design and operational in its function. It is WHOLE. All of the arties, ventricles, and chambers are succinct in their syncopated rhythm.

"Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding."

Finding a way to Trust God with ALL of what keeps you alive, is the center of this thought. To lean on him without exception or explanation of any other preconceived or previously identified solution. Your total weight and dependency is on the father. Just like air, only he has the power to produce it, and give you an exact amount of how much you will need for your lifetime. He is the only one who can sustain you.

But what does that look like? To be completely dependent on God? How do you do this and silence the worry and anxiety. The truth is my friend, nothing you can think of or do could ever keep you the way God the father can. You simply aren't brilliant enough. In Jeremiah 29:11-13 He reminds us that only He "11.. know [s] the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Our only job is to trust this plan.

Where are you going to decide to place your trust today?
